I designed and developed MARS HAVOC, a game prototype created entirely with Unreal Engine 4 Blueprints to hone my skills in visual scripting and game development. This project highlights my expertise in gameplay mechanics and level design.
The prototype features an arena-style level where players must survive waves of alien enemies. The gameplay combines strategic survival with opportunities to escape and eliminate foes, emphasizing replayability and challenge.

I was responsible for:
-
Gameplay Mechanics: Designed and implemented core mechanics using Blueprints.
-
Level Design: Created a dynamic arena level tailored for wave-based combat, balancing player movement, enemy spawns, and gameplay flow.
-
Environmental Integration: Incorporated lighting, meshes, and sound effects to enhance immersion and gameplay experience.

To heighten immersion and enhance the player experience, I incorporated various sound effects (footsteps, background ambiance, gunshots, alien impacts, etc.), manipulated lighting to create a survival atmosphere on a foreign planet, and worked on visual effects (VFX) such as gunfire, alien blood, and particle effects for shooting objects. These additions aimed to create a more engaging and immersive gameplay environment in MARS HAVOC.
